Conditions of CCPs
Corrections can make conditions on a Custodial Community Permit they think are appropriate.
Regulation 39 of the Corrections Regulations 2019 (Vic) says that all CCPs must at least have the following conditions:
- You must be of good behaviour
- You must not consume alcohol
- You must not use a drug of dependence (not prescribed by a doctor)
- You must comply with all lawful orders made by an escorting or supervising officer
- You can be returned to prison if the escorting or supervising officer believes on reasonable grounds that you have breached the permit or failed to comply with an order or direction given by the officer
- You must keep a copy of your permit with you when you are on leave
- You must comply with the permit for the time stated in the permit
Section 58A of the Corrections Act 1986 (Vic) says the conditions and time limit of your CCP can be changed any time before you leave, or during the time you are on leave from prison.
