Correctional Management Standards

The Correctional Management Standards are minimum standards for correctional services in Victoria. They are meant to make sure there is consistency and accountability across all prisons in Victoria.

The Standards also include guidelines for classifying and placing people in prisons.

There are two Correctional Management Standards for prisons:

• Correctional Management Standards for Men’s Prisons in Victoria
• Standards for the Management of Women Prisoners in Victoria

Access: the Correctional Management Standards are public documents and are available on the Corrections Victoria website. You can request access to the Standards from prison staff or see if it’s available at your prison library.
